The NRL has confirmed that the same eight referees who officiated matches in Round 1 will continue in their positions for Round 2.
Despite some criticism of refereeing in the past, there were fewer complaints during the first round of the season.
One of the key match-ups in Round 2 will be the game between the Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers, which will be officiated by Grant Atkins.
Other important games include the St George Illawarra Dragons versus South Sydney Rabbitohs match, which will be overseen by Ashley Klein, and the Manly Sea Eagles taking on the New Zealand Warriors with referee Adam Gee.
The appointments for all Round 2 games have been announced.
This consistency in refereeing appointments demonstrates the NRL's commitment to maintaining quality officiating throughout the season.
"Refereeing criticism was mostly absent from the first round of the season, in a welcome relief for the competition."
"Round 2, headlined by Sunday afternoon's clash between the Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers which will be officiated by Grant Atkins"
"also features games between the St George Illawarra Dragons and South Sydney Rabbitohs in a rivalry game that Ashley Klein has been appointed to"
"and the Manly Sea Eagles travelling across the Tasman alongside referee Adam Gee to play the New Zealand Warriors."
