South Sydney Rabbitohs player Jai Arrow expressed his joy for teammate Josh Schuster as he returned to the rugby league field after a year-long absence.
Schuster, who recently transferred from the Manly Sea Eagles to the Rabbitohs, made an impressive comeback in the NSW Cup competition, showcasing his skills with one try assist, a line-break assist, three tackle busts, 40 running meters, and six tackles without a miss.
As Schuster aims to secure a spot in the first-grade team in the upcoming weeks and maintain his fitness, Arrow shared his excitement for Schuster's return.
Arrow mentioned, "It was the first time I saw him since he played on the weekend and I did ask him how it was and he said he was excited to finally be back out there playing." The 23-year-old Schuster is determined to continue his good form in the lower grades and prove himself for a spot in the top-tier team.
Despite his recent injury setbacks and time away from the game, Schuster's return was met with encouragement and support from his Rabbitohs teammates.
With his impressive performance in his first match back on the field, Schuster has shown promise and determination to excel in the sport.
As Schuster looks to build on his comeback and seize opportunities in the first-grade team, his teammates like Arrow are looking forward to seeing his progress and success in the upcoming matches.
