Penrith Panthers great Greg Alexander has shut down a wild rumor surrounding star player Jarome Luai, slamming reports that the club would entertain an immediate player swap deal for the five-eighth.

The rumor suggested that the Panthers would consider releasing Luai immediately for two Tigers players, including veteran prop David Klemmer and emerging playmaker Lachlan Galvin, but Alexander dismissed it as "just a made-up story." He pointed the finger at player agent Isaac Moses, suggesting that he may have come up with the idea after listening to a show.

Alexander made it clear that the proposal was completely fabricated and had no truth to it.

The Panthers legend expressed his frustration with the false rumor during an appearance on SEN's Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy, emphasizing that it was "just a made-up story." Alexander's comments come as interest in Luai continues to grow, with the Panthers standing firm against any unfounded speculation.
