Josh Addo-Carr Pursues New Deal with Eels Following Kangaroos Recall

Parramatta Eels winger Josh Addo-Carr is eager to "finish" his career with the club after receiving a call-up to represent the Australian Kangaroos once again.

Addo-Carr joined the Eels at the beginning of the season after a tenure with the Canterbury Bulldogs. His impressive performance in the back-line has been notable enough to catch the eye of Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters.

He stepped in as a replacement for injured players Xavier Coates and Zac Lomax. While he may have experienced a slight decline in speed, Addo-Carr compensates with agile footwork and strong one-on-one defensive skills.

With his contract running through the end of the 2026 NRL season, he is eligible to engage with rival teams starting November 1. However, the Eels winger is determined to stay with Parramatta and hopes to conclude his playing career there, after previous engagements with the Melbourne Storm and Canterbury Bulldogs.

"Personally, I want to sign another few deals and finish my career at Parra," Addo-Carr shared with News Corp.

"The coaching staff and the boys here, even the administration, they are all good people to be around and it's so enjoyable.

"I can't be happier with the move here and 'Rylesy' (Eels coach Jason Ryles) and the Eels performance team have developed me into the player I have always wanted to be."
