Adam Reynolds is facing a difficult decision as he may have to leave Brisbane in order to continue his NRL career, despite initial plans to retire with the Broncos in 2025.
The team is facing a salary cap squeeze and needs to find funds to re-sign key players, potentially forcing Reynolds to find a new team.
Reports suggest that Hull Kingston Rovers in England are interested in signing Reynolds, who may have to uproot his family once again after they had settled in Brisbane since moving from Sydney in 2022.
Reynolds had emphasized the importance of the lifestyle change for his family when they made the move to Brisbane, wanting a bigger house and yard for their children and dogs.
Despite initial apprehensions about leaving their old life in Sydney, Reynolds and his family were welcomed with open arms in Brisbane.
Reynolds explained, "To be honest, it was tough at first to leave all we had known, all the Sydney friends and family, and the kids were a bit nervous about leaving old friends at school, not knowing anyone.
But from the moment we announced we were coming up, everyone just took us in."
The potential move to England or elsewhere would mean another major adjustment for Reynolds, his wife Tallara, and their four children.
However, Reynolds's outstanding performance this season has made him reconsider his retirement plans and consider playing on next year, despite the uncertain future with the Broncos.
The decision is made more complicated by the family's newfound attachment to Brisbane and the challenges of relocating once more.
