Adam O'Brien joins Bulldogs as assistant coach
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce Adam O'Brien's appointment as NRL Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
O'Brien comes to the Bulldogs after a successful six-year tenure as Head Coach of the Newcastle Knights (2020-2025), during which he led the team to four finals series.
Widely respected in the rugby league community, O'Brien offers a wealth of experience and a solid track record, having previously served as an Assistant Coach at both the Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters, where he played a role in securing Premierships for both clubs.
In addition to O'Brien's hiring, the Club has enhanced its football staff with two new appointments. Trent Elkin has taken on the role of Athletic Performance and Rehabilitation Lead, while Michael Kulen steps in as Attack Analyst.
Elkin brings over twenty years of experience in high-performance programs and returns to Belmore after an extensive career that began with the Bulldogs in the 1990s. He has also worked with the Cronulla Sharks, Parramatta Eels, NRL referees, and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Kulen joins the Bulldogs after spending the last eight years as an analyst with the Manly Sea Eagles and has also contributed to the New Zealand rugby league side.
