Marshall-King sustained his injuries in round six against Penrith and returned too early in round nine against the Sydney Roosters, leading to a follow-up absence of four games.
Reflecting on his recovery, he stated, "Everyone thought it was just a little scratch but it was two cuts on my leg that were pretty deep."
