In a move that has rocked the Rugby League world, Zac Lomax will be donning a different jersey next season as he bids farewell to the Dragons.
Rumour has it that Lomax could even be packing his bags sooner rather than later if the Red V can snag a star player in return.
After much speculation and whispers on the sidelines, it has been confirmed that Lomax and the Dragons have come to an agreement to part ways, releasing him from the final two years of his hefty contract.
The Eels have emerged as potential suitors for the talented player, while the Roosters may also be in the running with some cap space to spare.
Dragons CEO Ryan Webb spoke of the decision, stating that it was made to provide clarity for both Lomax and the club as they look ahead to future seasons.
This move will allow the Dragons to tweak their roster and make use of the extra cap space, while Lomax sets his sights on new horizons with another team.
Although Lomax was initially displeased with his shift to the right wing earlier in the season, he has put in some stellar performances, scoring three tries and racking up impressive running statistics.
As they say in the world of sports, it's all about adapting to new challenges and making the most of your opportunities.
Lomax will no doubt bring his A-game wherever he ends up next.
