Zac Lomax Joins Rugby Australia Team

Former NRL player Zac Lomax has officially signed a two-year contract with Rugby Australia, with the Sydney Morning Herald indicating that he will join the Western Force.

This new agreement is set to take effect immediately, transitioning Lomax from rugby league's 13-player format to rugby union's 15-player structure.

The move paves the way for Lomax to potentially play for the Wallabies in the upcoming 2027 Rugby World Cup, which kicks off in October next year, and this contract will run until the conclusion of that year.

Additionally, this arrangement allows for Lomax to consider a return to rugby league; by the end of 2027, he could sign with another NRL club, provided he obtains the Parramatta Eels' consent, and could join their preseason training in November that same year.

An official announcement regarding this deal is expected to be made within the hour.
