Young's Rooster Flight: Last Game, New Horizons

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Dominic Young, the Sydney Roosters winger, has confirmed his move to the Newcastle Knights after his final game with the Roosters, a match that featured an ironic twist as he played against his future team.

He had packed up his life before the game, marking a significant transition in his career.

The Roosters managed a narrow victory, aided by a controversial Siua Wong try late in the match.

Young's performance this season had been underwhelming, resulting in his drop from first-grade weeks prior.

However, he was brought back into the squad for key matches, including before both Origin 1 and Origin 2.

Unfortunately for the Roosters, they will not have him available for Game 3, as Young confirmed to News Corp that he would be moving to Newcastle this week.

Reflecting on the peculiar situation, he stated, "I would be lying to say it wasn't a weird one coming to the game with the circumstances."
