Several standout male players from the Wests Tigers Pathways system have advanced to the Jersey Flegg Cup (U/21's) after impressive junior representative seasons.
Both Balmain and Western Suburbs programs contributed to this new U/21's lineup.
Among these rising stars is Jared Haywood, who captained the Balmain Tigers SG Ball Cup side this year and represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2024.
Described as a "skilful but explosive hooker or half," Haywood has already gained experience in the club's first NRL trial this season.
He is under contract with the club until the end of the 2028 season.
The transition of these young talents highlights the strength of the junior programs and their ability to develop players ready for higher levels of competition.
