
In an exciting development for the Penrith Panthers, rising star Billy Phillips has secured a new contract that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2029 season.
This 20-year-old forward has rapidly ascended through the ranks, having made his NSW Cup debut just last year. His standout performance in round one included two tries, along with impressive stats of 723 tackles and 2,058 run meters, catching the attention of many.
Phillips's remarkable showing earned him a spot in the NRL, debuting in round 26 of the same season, signaling the start of his professional journey.
Shane Elford, the Panthers' General Manager, highlighted Phillips's exceptional growth and dedication, both on and off the field.
"Billy is a quality young player who represents the Club strongly on and off the field," Elford stated.
"He's extremely hardworking and has taken his opportunity in first grade with two hands this season.
"He's come through the system and understands what it means to represent the Panthers. We're excited to see his continued growth over the coming years."
