In a significant announcement, Isaah Yeo has been named captain of the Westpac NSW Blues for Origin I.

Mitchell Moses has secured the five-eighth position, while prop Max King is set to make his representative debut.

According to nrl.com.au, coach Laurie Daley has unveiled his squad for the first time since resuming his role, largely maintaining the winning team from last year's series for the match at Suncorp Stadium on May 28.

Yeo steps in for Jake Trbojevic, who is sidelined due to a head knock sustained during a game in Townsville.

Moses won the spot over Jarome Luai to team up with Nathan Cleary in the halves.

One of the most unexpected selections is Max King, 28, who will come off the bench for his Origin debut, joining his grandfather Johnny King, an inductee in the NRL Hall of Fame, as a NSW representative.

Dylan Edwards retains his position as fullback, edging out James Tedesco, while Daley has demonstrated confidence in wingers Brian To'o and Zac Lomax, both of whom have recently returned from injury.

The team reflects a mix of experience and new talent, aiming to secure a strong start to the series.
