'Can't kick stones': Xerri's agent reveals next move after Gould meeting

Agent for Bronson Xerri encourages the discontented Bulldogs player to remain with Canterbury and strive to reclaim his spot in the first-grade team after being relegated to the NSW Cup prior to the upcoming match against Canberra.

After a meeting with Bulldogs chairman Phil Gould on Sunday morning, Xerri resumed training at Belmore, amidst swirling rumors that he was dissatisfied with his situation at the club and looking for an immediate release.

George Christodoulou, Xerri's acting manager, explained to this publication that the breakfast meeting with Gould was arranged to clarify Xerri's future. Both Gould and Christodoulou expressed their hope that Xerri would find a way back into the NRL through his performance.

On Saturday, Xerri learned he would be dropped from the lineup, with Enari Tuala set to take his place at right centre for the match against the Raiders on Thursday.
