The North Queensland Cowboys have made an exciting announcement, revealing that their partnership with Kirwan State High School will continue until the end of 2026.
This three-year agreement will see the Cowboys provide development opportunities for players and coaches from Kirwan SHS.
It's a fantastic opportunity for the school's Aaron Payne Cup and Open Girls teams, who will have the privilege of training at the Hutchinson Builders Centre, under the guidance of Cowboys Elite Pathways Coach Steve Sheppard and NRLW Head Coach Ben Jeffries.
Additionally, Cowboys Head of Elite Pathways, Glenn Hall, will be on hand to mentor the school's coaches, giving them access to selected Young Guns and NRLW training sessions.
This extension means that Kirwan State High School will join the likes of Ignatius Park College, Trinity Bay State High School, St Augustine's College, St Patrick's College, and The Cathedral College as schools with strong partnerships with the Cowboys.
It's a testament to the strong bond between the club and the wider community, further solidifying the Cowboys' commitment to grassroots rugby league development.
