Kristian Woolf, known for his unique coaching style, recently pushed his players at the Dolphins to test their mettle during their 2026 preseason camp on the Gold Coast.
Before his career in the NRL, Woolf engaged in boxing with the Fred Brophy Boxing troupe, which allows ordinary people to fight in the ring. He faced off against Ray Stone, a player known for his toughness.
Dolphins winger Jamayne Isaako reflected on the moment, stating, "Everyone fears Ray a little bit in the game, but for him to have held his ground and give it back to him certainly showed to the playing group that's the kind of coach you want to have."
This exchange highlighted Woolf's message to his team about resilience and camaraderie. Isaako remarked, "What he was trying to show to the players is something we want to try to show him when we suit up each week. It just shows you want to go to war with him."
