In a battle of talent and skill, the Gold Coast's female Future Titans are gearing up to take on the Newcastle Knights in their annual trial match at Coffs Harbour this Saturday.

With the support of a star-studded coaching staff, these young women are ready to showcase their abilities on the field.

Titans academy manager Tim McIntyre is filled with excitement as both the Under 17s and 19s teams prepare to face the Novocastrians for the second year in a row.

This year's trials have already proved fruitful, with four players earning top 24 contracts after displaying impressive performances, including the dynamic trio of Sienna Lofipo, Destiny Mino-Sinapati, and Rilee Jorgensen, who dominated the grand final in 2023.

The staff behind the development of the Future Titans Female Academy in 2024 is nothing short of impressive.

One standout is Veronica White, an iconic figure in female rugby league who made history as the first woman to become a life member of the Australian Women's Rugby League.

With her vast experience as a player and successful coaching career, including leading the Queensland Schoolgirls team in 2022, White now leads the Future Titans Under 17s as head coach for the second consecutive year.

Another key figure in the coaching staff is Anthony 'Swainy' Swain, a rugby league devotee who has been involved with the sport since his childhood.

Starting as a player and continuing as a coach, Swainy has dedicated himself to the rugby league community, most recently coaching the Hastings Deering Colts side for the Tweed Seagulls.

Together, this talented coaching team will guide and mentor the Future Titans as they strive for greatness on the field.
