The Wests Tigers Cubs suffered a 34-18 defeat at the hands of the touring Warrington Wolves team at Kirkham Oval, Elderslie on Saturday.
The match, which was an exhibition game at the home of Camden Rams, saw the Super League team dominate the Under 18s pathways players.
The Wolves took an early lead of 12-nil at the end of the first quarter and extended it to 24-6 by halftime.
Despite missing several players who were beginning NRL pre-season training, the Cubs put in a commendable performance after having a six-week break.
However, the English outfit showcased their skills by scoring six tries, compared to the Cubs' three.
Dougie Tuala, the Cubs' prop, managed to score two tries, while Jared Haywood scored the third and final try for the home side.
The Wolves will now look forward to their tour match against a NSW Invitational team next weekend.
