Will Waerea-Hargreaves face suspension for hit?

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, known for his hard-hitting style on the field, made his much-anticipated return to the Sydney Roosters lineup against the Gold Coast Titans.

However, his comeback was quickly marred by controversy after an incident with former teammate Sam Verrills.

The Roosters enforcer, fresh off a four-week suspension, found himself in hot water once again after a tackle in the 18th minute.

Despite the hit, play continued and the Titans managed to score.

It wasn't until a break in play that the officials caught the shoulder to Verrills' face on replay.

With a reputation for his tough and aggressive playing style, Waerea-Hargreaves was handed a ten-minute sin binning for his actions.

The incident has put his availability for future games in doubt, as he faces the possibility of another stint on the sidelines.
