Improving discipline is a key priority for the Titans as they prepare for this weekend's Magic Round clash, following a surprising report that they lead the league in high tackle penalties.
According to a segment on Monday night's Fox League's NRL 360, the Gold Coast Titans have accrued 18 penalties for high contact, making them the most penalized team so far in the 2025 season.
The Roosters follow closely with 17, while the Wests Tigers, Broncos, and Sea Eagles round out the top five with 16 and 15 infringements, respectively.
Des Hasler's team has had significant disciplinary issues, with four players sin-binned and five charged since the enforcement of stricter rules in Round 5.
Despite the reported figures, Titans coach Des Hasler contested their accuracy in his weekly press conference.
However, playmaker AJ Brimson acknowledged the need for the team to improve their discipline to end a four-game losing streak, stating, "We need to be better at conceding errors and penalties," regardless of the official penalty count.
As the Titans aim to reform their approach, emphasis on discipline will be pivotal in overcoming their current challenges on the field.
