The Wests Tigers are reportedly planning to meet with Taylan May regarding a new contract extension. This development follows CEO Shane Richardson's earlier announcement that May's contract would undergo a review at the season's end.

As the Tigers prepare for the 2025 NRL season, they have made notable roster changes, including the signings of Jarome Luai, Sunia Turuva, and Terrell May. Continued adjustments to their lineup have also included the acquisitions of Ethan Roberts (Roosters), Jock Madden (Broncos), Javon Andrews (Titans), Kai Pearce-Paul (Knights), and Mavrik Geyer (Panthers).

Additionally, the team has secured a long-term extension for center Starford To'a and managed to retain Adam Doueihi, who was a target for St George Illawarra Dragons and was set to come off contract at the end of 2025.

As the Tigers aim to solidify their roster, they are now focusing on extending the contract of another key player. Taylan May, who joined the club mid-season on a train-and-trial contract, is a focus for the team. According to The Daily Telegraph, the Tigers are optimistic about moving May to a Top 30 contract as part of the extension plans.

David Riccio, a journalist, also shared on Triple M radio that May is scheduled to meet with the Tigers this week to discuss his contract extension and upgrade.
