At 35, Tyson Frizell has played 306 NRL games and reached his first Grand Final with Newcastle against the Sydney Roosters in this season's premiership decider.
The Wests Tigers have signed the Origin and international forward for 2027.
Frizell made his NRL debut for Cronulla-Sutherland in 2011 and has also represented St George-Illawarra and Newcastle.
His representative record includes 16 appearances for NSW, 14 for Australia and three for Tonga.
"I'm really looking forward to joining the Wests Tigers in 2027,'' Frizell said.
He said he hoped to support the club's young players with his experience and leadership.
"There's a lot of exciting young talent coming through. I'm hoping I can add some value through my experience and leadership, both on and off the field."
Coach Benji Marshall praised Frizell's preparation and said he would help guide younger players.
"Tyson is the most professional player I've ever seen when it comes to preparation,'' Marshall said.
"Tyson will be invaluable in terms of the leadership he will bring to the younger guys."
