The Wests Tigers have bolstered their squad by signing a former outside back from the New Zealand Warriors and Gold Coast Titans, three years after his last NRL game.

Following the additions of players such as Bunty Afoa, Ethan Roberts, Jack Attard, Javon Andrews, Jock Madden, Kai Pearce-Paul, and Mavrik Geyer, the Tigers have continued to enhance their team with the acquisition of Patrick Herbert.

Herbert, a two-time Maori All Stars representative, last played first-grade for the Titans in 2022 before receiving an immediate release from his contract early in the 2023 NRL season.

Currently training with the NRL squad, the 28-year-old brings significant experience to the Tigers' outside backs. He has made 38 appearances and scored nine tries for the Titans, along with playing 21 matches and accumulating 76 points for the New Zealand Warriors.

Additionally, Herbert was part of the St George Illawarra Dragons' system during his junior years, where he notably captained their Under-20s NYC team.

It remains unclear whether Herbert's contract is a NSWRL deal or incorporates any NRL elements.
