The Wests Tigers have made their decision on whether to sanction Adam Doueihi after the NRL star's controversial social media post.
The club has asked Doueihi for a 'please explain' but reportedly won't be taking any further action against him.
Doueihi's deleted post, in which he appeared to criticize LGBTQI inclusion in sport, sparked outrage among fans and commentators.
The Tigers reached out to Doueihi for an explanation, and he claimed that he found the post "embarrassing" as it seemed to dictate what people could say to the LGBTQI community.
However, he maintained that he didn't mean to belittle the community and deleted his comment once he realized it could be misconstrued as homophobic.
The Daily Telegraph has reported that the Tigers have accepted Doueihi's remorse and won't be involving the NRL integrity unit in the matter.
The club has emphasized its commitment to inclusivity and maintaining a safe space for fans and players.
