Wests Tigers are thrilled to announce that they will be hosting NRL and NRLW matches at the brand-new Gadhu Gathering event in August.
This event is set to become a marquee fixture on the rugby league calendar, bringing together teams from across Sydney to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
Over the course of three days, Allianz Stadium will play host to the matches, as well as a variety of cultural performances, entertainment, and fan zones for those in attendance.
The term 'gadhu' comes from the Indigenous Dharawal language, referring to a large body of water like the ocean, symbolizing the coming together of communities to celebrate a shared love for rugby league and culture.
In the final day of Gadhu Gathering 2025, the Wests Tigers NRL team will go head-to-head against the Sea Eagles, while the NRLW squad will take on the Dragons.
Both teams will be wearing this season's specially designed Indigenous Jerseys, created by six young Indigenous athletes from southwest Sydney.
These jerseys reflect their sporting journeys, experiences, and aspirations on the field.
It's sure to be an action-packed weekend of footy, with plenty of excitement on and off the field as fans come together to celebrate the intersection of rugby league and Indigenous culture.
