The Wests Tigers have officially announced their development list for the forthcoming 2026 NRL season, alongside granting a new contract to a promising young outside back.
Will Craig, who was part of the club's development list last season, has had his contract extended until the end of 2026 and has also been promoted to the club's Top 30 roster.
Previously rumored to be considering a transfer to the Penrith Panthers, Craig was integral to the celebrated 2022 Western Suburbs Magpies team that clinched the Under-17s Harold Matthews Cup, alongside his teammates Lachlan Galvin, Jordan Miller, Tallyn Da Silva, Heath Mason, and Luke Laulilii-of whom only the latter two remain at the club.
Affectionately known as 'Wills', the young talent has dedicated the last two seasons to competing in the Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup and NSW Cup.
On a related note, the club has affirmed that new signings Bunty Afoa, Ethan Roberts, and 2025 Under-19s State of Origin man-of-the-match Javon Andrews will not be part of the Top 30 roster for the 2026 season. Instead, they will be placed on development contracts.
Despite this, they are still eligible to participate from Round 1 and will join Charlie Murray, Lachlan Broederlow, and standout rookie Jared Haywood on the development list.
