Wests Tigers' bizarre message about Luke Brooks

The Wests Tigers have come out with a rather peculiar statement regarding former halfback Luke Brooks, who recently made his debut in the NRL Finals against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Even though Brooks is no longer part of the squad, the Tigers extended their congratulations to him for his performance with the Manly Sea Eagles over the weekend.

Having moved to the Sea Eagles at the conclusion of last season, Brooks spent a whopping 11 seasons with the Wests Tigers, racking up an impressive 205 games and 233 points.

He emerged from the Balmain Tigers pathways system alongside his former teammate Mitchell Moses.

In a statement on the Tigers' club website, they said, "Wests Tigers would like to congratulate former halfback Luke Brooks on his recent achievements with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles."

While Brooks didn't get a taste of finals footy during his tenure with the Tigers, he certainly relished the opportunity on Sunday, helping the Sea Eagles secure a nail-biting 24-22 win over the Bulldogs.
