The Wests Tigers have announced additional player departures as they gear up for the 2026 NRL season, following the recent confirmation of six releases.
Winger Alex Lobb and versatile forward Reuben Porter have become the latest players to part ways with the club, having made a combined total of 11 first-grade appearances.
Having joined the Wests Tigers in 2024 from the St George Illawarra Dragons, Lobb contributed significantly to the NSW Cup with the Western Suburbs Magpies and was recognized for his abilities as a tall, goal-kicking winger.
Porter, on the other hand, played eight matches in the NRL for the Tigers, after spending considerable time in both the NSW Cup and QLD Cup competitions. He has also represented the Cook Islands national team, making him a potential target for clubs seeking depth in their forward packs.
The release of Lobb and Porter follows last week's announcements to Brandon Tumeth, Brent Naden, and Justin Matamua, all of whom were informed they would not be receiving contract extensions.
Additionally, players Charlie Staines (Catalans Dragons), Josh Feledy (Manly Sea Eagles), and Solomona Faataape (Catalans Dragons) have also been released and have managed to secure contracts with other teams.
