The Western Suburbs Magpies suffered a tough loss to the Dragons in the latest Knock On Effect NSW Cup clash, going down 52-16 at the Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong.
The Magpies got off to a shaky start, allowing the home side to score two quick tries early on.
However, Wests centre Josh Feledy showed his grit and determination by bulldozing his way through the Dragons defense to put points on the board for the Magpies.
Feledy continued to impress with a brilliant grubber kick that set up Solomon Alaimalo for a try, but the Dragons were relentless in their attack.
Sione Finau and Savelio Tamale added more tries to give the Red V a commanding 24-10 lead at halftime.
The second half saw the Dragons extend their lead even further, with Dylan Egan and Fa'amanu Brown adding to the scoreline.
Finau bagged a double, and Jayden Sullivan darted through the Magpies defense to score under the posts.
It was a tough day at the office for the Magpies, who were unable to match the Dragons' intensity throughout the game.
Despite moments of brilliance from Feledy, the Dragons proved too strong on the day and emerged victorious.
