Why Roosters recruit has Watson ready to lock down new role
Roosters utility Connor Watson feels optimistic that a change in position, due to Reece Robson joining the team, will allow him to showcase his best performance.
Robson, who signed a four-year contract last December, has seemingly been overlooked in conversations regarding the Roosters' 2026 acquisitions.
His addition has been somewhat eclipsed by the excitement surrounding former Manly player Daly Cherry-Evans, but Robson's contribution to the squad could prove to be equally significant.
Robson is anticipated to take on the No.9 position, with up-and-coming talent Benaiah Ioelu as his understudy.
This transition will enable Watson, who is 29 years old, to move to lock, a role he believes is the most suitable for him.
