New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster has addressed rumors regarding playmaker Tanah Boyd, who has been linked to a move to the North Queensland Cowboys.
Boyd, who signed with the Warriors at the end of last season after leaving the Gold Coast Titans, has yet to play in an NRL match for the club.
He is off-contract at the end of this season but has a mutual option in his contract for 2026.
Once seen as a rising star for the Titans, Boyd has faced consistent competition for a starting position, leading to his limited opportunities with the Warriors, where players like Luke Metcalfe, Te Maire Martin, and Chanel Harris-Tavita currently take precedence.
Additionally, up-and-coming players such as Luke Hanson and Jett Cleary are also in the mix.
Reports surfaced at the end of April suggesting that Boyd is one of four players under consideration by the Cowboys, along with Billy Walters (Broncos), Brad O'Neill (Wigan), and Danny Walker (Warrington).
It was reported by News Corp that the Cowboys have contacted Boyd's management regarding a potential return to Queensland.
