The New Zealand Warriors have announced that a promising young forward will be elevated to the club's Top 30 roster for the 2026 NRL season.

After signing a two-year extension in August that keeps him at the club until the end of 2027, Kayliss Fatialofa, who previously captained the Under-19s SG Ball Cup team, is set to join the Top 30 next season as he strives for his first-grade debut.

Initially considering a move to the Penrith Panthers, Fatialofa went on to participate in every match of the NSW Cup this season. He showcased his skills by scoring 14 tries, achieving 14 line breaks, completing 705 tackles, and averaging 90 running meters per game over 27 appearances.

"Kayliss is part of the crop of impressive young players we've seen emerging since we've had the full pathways structure in place," said Warriors general manager of recruitment, pathways, and development, Andrew McFadden, earlier this year. "He made his NSW Cup debut last year and has been outstanding throughout this season, playing every game and making a huge contribution to the team winning the minor premiership."
