The Warriors are expanding their reach to Dunedin, and it's certainly not a mere clickbait headline.
In April, the Southern Zone Rugby League will unveil an academy in partnership with the New Zealand Warriors.
This will mark the fourth satellite academy for the NRL club, which has strategically dotted them across the country.
To commemorate this exciting venture, Warriors heavyweights such as Andrew McFadden, Stacey Jones, and Cameron George journeyed down south to inspect the top-notch facilities and connect with Southern Zone Rugby League's general manager, Liam Turner, who spearheaded the project.
Turner revealed that the academy will be housed at the state-of-the-art Otago Polytechnic gym, with additional hubs in Invercargill, Timaru, and Greymouth to support players hailing from those regions.
Moreover, the academy will emphasize strength and conditioning training to bolster the players' physicality.
