'Never seen tickets move this fast': Warriors sell out clash in record time
In a remarkable achievement, One New Zealand Stadium has completely sold out its general seating in just five days. This rapid sell-out occurred five months ahead of the One New Zealand Warriors' debut NRL match at Christchurch's new sporting venue.
Tickets for the June 21 match against North Queensland became available only last Friday, but the public swiftly purchased the last of the 22,500 general seating tickets today. This sets a record for the fastest-selling regular season game in the club's history, aside from the inaugural match against the Brisbane Broncos in 1995.
Currently, only a few premium hospitality options are still available.
This marks the third straight match that the Warriors have sold out in Christchurch, following full attendance at Apollo Projects Stadium for their games against Canberra in 2024 and Newcastle last season.
Additionally, the Warriors' Preseason Challenge match against the Manly Sea Eagles at McLean Park in Napier on February 14 is approaching a sell-out, and the Anzac Day game against the Dolphins in Wellington is also experiencing strong ticket sales.
The enthusiastic ticket sales for the June 21 event further enhance the Warriors' impressive record of 30 sell-outs in their last 36 NRL games played in New Zealand. This streak includes an unprecedented accomplishment in 2024 when the Warriors became the first club in the league's history to sell out every home game in a single season.
