Iain Thornley, a veteran centre, has made the decision to leave the Super League champions, Wigan Warriors, and join the newly relegated Wakefield Trinity.
The 32-year-old, who hails from Wigan, has had an impressive career, scoring 35 tries in 58 games across two spells with his hometown club.
Throughout his career, Thornley has maintained an impressive track record, averaging almost a try every other game.
He has also had stints at other clubs such as Salford Red Devils, Hull KR, and Catalans.
New Wakefield boss, Daryl Powell, expressed his excitement about Thornley's addition to the team, stating that he will bring leadership and experience to their already exciting backline.
Powell also commended Thornley's skills as a big and powerful centre, highlighting his outstanding performances for Wigan in recent seasons.
