In an epic showdown in Round 23, the Dolphins duked it out with the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium, coming out on top with a nail-biting 34-32 win thanks to Sean O'Sullivan's game-winning golden point field goal.

The Dolphins wasted no time in putting points on the board, with Felise Kaufusi capitalizing on a well-executed kick from Kodi Nikorima to score the first try of the match.

Herbie Farnworth then set the crowd alight by racing 85 meters off an awkward Warriors kick recovery by Max Plath, extending the Dolphins' early lead.

The Warriors fought back in the first half, with Te Maire Martin linking up with Edward Kosi on a high kick to snatch some points back from the home team.

But the Dolphins finished the first half on a high note, as Kodi Nikorima and Jake Averillo joined forces for a lightning quick 65-meter run down the right sideline, taking the Dolphins into halftime with a 20-6 lead.

Despite being a player down due to a Dylan Walker sin-bin, the Warriors clawed their way back into contention in the second half.

Kurt Capewell found the try line off yet another precise kick from Te Maire Martin, closing the score gap.

Herbie Farnworth added to his tally with a second try, but the Warriors weren't ready to throw in the towel just yet.

Martin and Sifakula scored back-to-back tries in the 64th and 67th minutes, setting up a tense finish.

With the game tied at the end of regular time, Sean O'Sullivan stepped up and delivered the winning blow with a perfectly executed golden point field goal, sealing the Dolphins' victory in a thrilling match-up.
