Tanner Stowers-Smith, a promising young player for the New Zealand Warriors, has signed a long-term contract extension just three weeks after making his NRL debut.
Initially set to be off-contract at the end of this season, Stowers-Smith has agreed to a new three-year deal, keeping him with the club until at least the end of the 2028 NRL season.
This extension follows the Warriors' efforts to retain other top young talents, including Ali Leiataua, Demitric Vaimauga, Jacob Laban, and Leka Halasima.
Stowers-Smith, who previously captained the club's SG Ball Cup team, has demonstrated his abilities in his first-grade matches against The Dolphins and Cronulla Sharks, accumulating 103 running metres, 35 tackles, and one tackle break.
Warriors coach Andrew Webster praised Stowers-Smith, stating, "Tanner's development has been fantastic." This signing reflects the club's commitment to building a solid foundation for the future with talented players.
