In tonight's NRL semifinal between the NZ Warriors and the Newcastle Knights, the Warriors will bring a team with plenty of experience in play-offs and grand finals.

According to reports from warriors.kiwi, the Warriors' 19 players in the game day squad have a combined total of 83 finals matches under their belts.

Some key players such as Tohu Harris, Dylan Walker, Shaun Johnson, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Marata Niukore, and Te Maire Martin have all played in grand finals, with Harris and Walker even being part of premiership-winning teams.

Harris and Walker have particularly impressive records, having played in 13 finals matches each.

Niukore, on the other hand, has 10 finals appearances, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has nine, Nicoll-Klokstad has seven, and Johnson has six.

Last week's match against Penrith marked the first finals appearances for Adam Pompey, Rocco Berry, Marcelo Montoya, Wayde Egan, Jackson Ford, Josh Curran, and Freddy Lussick.

In contrast, the Knights' 19-man squad has a combined total of 50 finals appearances, with centre Dane Gagai accounting for 15 of those.

Eight players on the Knights' team made their finals debut in last week's win against Canberra, while three players (Adam Clune, Brodie Jones, and Fa'amanu Brown) have never appeared in a play-off before.
