Warriors Slay Dragons in Jersey Flegg Cup Battle

Jersey Flegg Cup: Warriors take down Dragons in seesawing affair

LeagueNews.co | Robbie Hamilton

The Dragons had a tough time against the Warriors in a thrilling game of Jersey Flegg Cup footy at Figtree's Collegians Sporting Complex on a drizzly Saturday.

The Warriors came out strong with their powerful game, but the Dragons fought back with two quick tries in the second half, showing some true grit.

However, just as it seemed like the tide was turning in favor of the Red V, the Warriors struck back with three tries in a rapid five-minute flurry, sealing the win and handing the Dragons their third loss of the season.

Ward kicked a conversion early on to give the Warriors a 6-0 lead, but the Dragons had their chances, with skipper Kyan Hjaltason making a crucial play to regain possession.

Despite their efforts, a few costly errors prevented them from building on their lead.

It was a tough loss for the Dragons, but they'll regroup and come back stronger in the next game.

After all, as they say in footy, it's not about how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.

The Dragons will need to dig deep and show some true Aussie spirit in the games to come.
