The NZ Warriors recently highlighted an interesting fact about their squad for the round 11 match against the Dolphins.
Eight players in their 22-man squad had hyphenated names, making up more than a third of the extended squad.
The players included Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Chanel Harris-Tavita, James Fisher-Harris, Eddie Ieremia-Toeava, Tanner Stowers-Smith, and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
When the squad was narrowed down to the final 17 playing members, six hyphenated names remained, with Ieremia-Toeava and Moala Graham-Taufa being omitted from the final selection.
This unique characteristic of the squad has drawn attention and added a fun element for sports trivia enthusiasts.
