Warriors Set NRL Record with Fastest Try

New Zealand Warriors veteran prop James Fisher-Harris has set a new record for the fastest try in NRL history.

In the final round of the season, the Warriors faced off against the Manly Sea Eagles during a 6pm game at Brookvale Oval. The Warriors were about to kick off, but they managed to score immediately instead.

The kick-off took an awkward descent into the corner, where Manly veteran Daly Cherry-Evans attempted to catch it but let it bounce instead.

As the ball took an unexpected bounce, it caught Jason Saab off guard, causing him to lose possession. This allowed Warriors' prop James Fisher-Harris to score just eight seconds into the match.

However, the Warriors soon conceded a try themselves, tying the game at six points apiece.

This record-setting try surpasses the previous record held by Kirisome Auva'a of the Parramatta Eels, who scored 12 seconds into a game against the Brisbane Broncos in 2017, following a mishap during the first run by Adam Blair.
