In a tense battle on the rugby league field, the Warriors have proven once again why they are on course for a top-four finish this season.
The match against the Sea Eagles in Auckland was nothing short of thrilling, with a total of nine tries scored throughout the eighty minutes.
Both Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Sea Eagles counterpart Jason Saab showed their prowess by each picking up hat-tricks during the game.
However, it was a crucial play from Warriors second rower Marata Niukore with just eight minutes remaining that ultimately sealed the victory for his team.
This heartbreaking loss for the Sea Eagles signifies the end of their finals hopes.
The Sea Eagles, however, did not go down without a fight.
In a surprising turn of events, they managed to secure a 22-16 lead at halftime, thanks to four tries in the first forty minutes, including an impressive treble from the fleet-footed Saab.
But the Warriors were not to be denied, and thanks to the efforts of Watane-Zelezniak and the playmaking skills of Shaun Johnson, they emerged victorious on this special night for the club.
