The New Zealand Warriors have scored a try with the signing of NRLW premiership-winning second rower, Laishon Albert-Jones.

The 26-year-old forward, hailing from the land down under in Newcastle, will be lacing up his boots to join the Warriors for the 2025 season, with a possible extension into 2026 and 2027.

Albert-Jones, a Kiwi Fern with three Test caps to her name, will be bringing her A-game back to her hometown of Auckland to join forces with the Warriors.

After a stellar season with the Knights, where she was a standout player and a contender for the prestigious Players' Champion award, Albert-Jones is ready to take the field and show off her skills once again.

Having previously worked as a Warriors Community Foundation coordinator, Albert-Jones is no stranger to the club and its rich history.

With her family ties to the legendary Stacey Jones, it seems like fate has brought her back to where she belongs - on the field, playing the game she loves.

With Albert-Jones in their lineup, the Warriors are ready to tackle the competition head-on and chase after another NRLW premiership.

So get ready, because this Kiwi Fern is about to take the league by storm and show why she's a force to be reckoned with on the rugby field.
