The New Zealand Warriors had a thrilling season that concluded on a disappointing note in 2025, prompting the team to intensify their recruitment efforts as they aim for a premiership in the upcoming season.
As reported by the Daily Telegraph, the Warriors have secured one of the NRL's fastest players to enhance their backline, signing Alofiana Khan-Pereira from the Gold Coast Titans on a two-year contract starting in 2026.
The 23-year-old speedster finalized his agreement with the Warriors in the last 48 hours, ensuring his stay with the Auckland-based club for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
It was previously reported that the Titans had given Khan-Pereira permission to negotiate with the Warriors after he showed interest in moving to New Zealand.
Although Khan-Pereira was under contract with the Titans until the end of 2026, his desire to be closer to family, influenced by his Māori and Samoan heritage, was pivotal in his decision to relocate.
The Warriors have been diligently searching for backline talent recently, with a particular emphasis on incorporating genuine speed on the wings.
Khan-Pereira perfectly embodies that need, bringing both explosive speed and dependable performance from the backfield.
