Warriors' Rare Home Final Against Panthers

NRL Preview: Stage set for special home final

Home finals have been rare for the NZ Warriors, with today's matchup against four-time champions Penrith marking just the fifth in the club's history.

This second home playoff in two years highlights the Warriors' successes since Andrew Webster took over as head coach.

It's set to be another significant event at Go Media Stadium, with the players and fans still relishing the 40-10 home final victory over the Knights in 2023.

Adding to the significance is hooker Wayde Egan's 150th career appearance, which notably coincides with his original NRL club and includes many players who were part of the system during his time there.

The Panthers will face a considerably different challenge as they strive to win the competition from outside the top four for the first time.
