The Warriors' NRLW head coach Ron Griffiths and his team have officially kicked off preparations for their return to the competition in 2025, following a five-year absence.
With just 55 days until their first game, the players gathered for their inaugural meeting, marking an exciting milestone for Griffiths, the players, and the staff.
The anticipation has built since last September when Griffiths signed elite player Apii Nicholls, a Kiwi Ferns fullback, as the first member of the roster.
Recently, Avery-Rose Carmont became the last player to join the 24-player lineup.
On the day of their first meeting, the team settled into their refreshed base at Go Media Stadium, formerly used by the Oceania Football Confederation.
The upgraded facilities now feature personalized locker rooms for each player, and the #4 training field is prepared for practice.
On Tuesday, the entire squad was back on-site, accompanied by a large group of Warriors staff, including CEO Cameron George and NRL head coach Andrew Webster.
To mark the occasion, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei blessed the premises, further solidifying the team's connection to the community.
