Warriors kick off rebranding with 'Shaun Johnson Stadium'

The New Zealand Warriors have scored a try with their latest announcement, revealing that their stadium will undergo a temporary name change to Shaun Johnson Stadium for the star playmaker's final home game.

Johnson, who recently announced his retirement at the end of the 2024 NRL season, will be given the ultimate tribute by his team.

With only two games left to bid farewell to Johnson, the Warriors have sadly been ruled out of finals contention.

However, their upcoming clash against the Canterbury Bulldogs promises to be a crowd-pleaser, with a sellout crowd expected at the soon-to-be Shaun Johnson Stadium.

"We really appreciate Go Media and Auckland Stadiums for making this renaming possible for Shaun Johnson Stadium this week," said New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George in a statement.

It's sure to be an emotional and memorable night for Johnson and the Warriors faithful.
