New Zealand Warriors forward Jackson Ford has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season due to a three-match suspension imposed by the match review committee (MRC).
Ford faced charges for a Grade 1 Crusher Tackle on Corey Allan. If he chooses to accept the early guilty plea, he will miss the Warriors' next three fixtures against the Gold Coast Titans, Parramatta Eels, and Manly Sea Eagles.
Conversely, if Ford opts to challenge the charge and is found guilty, his suspension will extend to four matches, which means he would also miss the opening match of the 2025 NRL Finals series.
In other news, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs players Josh Curran and Samuel Hughes were noted for infractions during Friday's matches. Hughes is facing a potential fine ranging from $1800 to $2500 for a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle, while Curran was not charged.
"I think over the last month we've had, before I say this the Roosters were really good tonight and they've been good for a long period, so not taking anything away from them," Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo commented following their defeat against the Sydney Roosters. "But in terms of what we can control, the last four games we've had two of the best performances and two of the worst."
