Warriors in Finals Limbo: Who Will They Face?

Finals opponents still unknown

The New Zealand Warriors will have to wait until Saturday to determine their week one finals opponents after the top-placed Brisbane Broncos lost to the Melbourne Storm in their final regular season match at Suncorp Stadium.

If the Broncos had won, they would have secured the minor premiership, sent the Storm to fourth place, and set up a repeat match between Brisbane and Melbourne at Suncorp Stadium in the finals.

This would have resulted in a Penrith-Warriors play-off regardless of the final match results.

However, the Storm came out on top with an impressive 32-22 victory, moving them to third place on the ladder, leaving the play-off situation uncertain.

The outcome of the Warriors-Dolphins and Penrith-North Queensland matches on Saturday will determine the final standings.

A Warriors win would elevate them to third place, while a Panthers victory would secure them the minor premiership and determine the match-ups for the finals.

If both the Warriors and the Panthers win, the week one finals would feature Penrith against Melbourne and Brisbane against the Warriors.
