New Zealand Warriors hooker Sam Healey has addressed recent unusual reports linking him to the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Considered one of the top young dummy-halves in the NRL, Healey's last year has been extraordinary, having captured back-to-back NSW Cup titles and making his first-grade debut.

At just 21 years old, he is under contract with the Warriors until the end of 2027 and is viewed as a crucial element of the club's future. This season, he has participated in seven matches after transferring from the Cronulla Sharks.

The son of former Sharks player Mitch Healey, who spent over ten years at the club, Sam's unexpected move to New Zealand has showcased his talent in both reserve grade and the NRL.

Despite being under contract, interest from rival teams has emerged, although no team can officially approach him until November 1, 2026.

"Absolutely no idea. I love it over with the Warriors and really feel like I'm starting to get my career on track and loving it."
